Privacy Policy

LensGuard is a local-first iOS app. AK Davis Designs does not create LensGuard accounts, does not run a LensGuard cloud backend, and does not collect your personal information on our servers.

Short summary

• Scanning, history, your Trusted list, notifications, and widgets stay on your devices.
• Bluetooth scanning runs on the iPhone while the app is open and on screen. “Keep watching” is not a screen-off or always-on background scan.
• This version does not use Location permission.
• The Apple Watch companion does not scan Bluetooth.
• The optional $1.99 one-time unlock is processed by Apple.
• We do not sell your information. We do not use LensGuard data for advertising.

What LensGuard does

LensGuard uses Bluetooth on your iPhone to look for nearby devices while the app is in the foreground. You can keep a Trusted list, see on-device history, get local notifications, and use widgets. If you buy the unlock, you can also use haptics, High notifications, widgets, and Control Center snooze. A headphone tick, if you enable it, plays on your device.

LensGuard is not proof that someone is recording. A camera’s LED is the indicator that a camera is active. Silence in LensGuard does not mean you are safe.

What we do not collect

AK Davis Designs does not:

• Require or create a LensGuard account
• Operate a LensGuard cloud server or sync service
• Collect, sell, or share your personal information from this app
• Run analytics in LensGuard that we know of
• Request Location permission in this version
• Upload Bluetooth scan results, nearby device identifiers, history, or your Trusted list
• Receive your payment card number (Apple processes the purchase)

What stays on your device

These items are stored on your iPhone. Where needed, they may be shared with the LensGuard widget through Apple’s on-device App Group, and status may appear on Apple Watch. They are not sent to AK Davis Designs:

• Scan activity and on-device history
• Your Trusted list
• Notification and alert preferences
• Unlock status as reported by Apple
• Widget data

Deleting the app removes this on-device data. Apple may keep its own purchase records in your Apple Account. That is Apple’s data, not ours.

Bluetooth

LensGuard uses Bluetooth on the iPhone, in the foreground, to detect nearby devices. Results are processed on the device. This version does not ask for Location permission and is not used to determine your location.

Purchases

Optional features are a $1.99 one-time unlock sold through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple processes the payment under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. We do not receive your credit card number. Apple may tell the app whether you have unlocked so those features can turn on on your device.

Apple Watch

The Watch app is a companion. It does not perform Bluetooth scanning. Any status it shows comes from the iPhone app on your devices.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, LensGuard can show local alerts on your device. Notification permission is optional. We do not use notifications to collect personal information.

Children

LensGuard is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we do not keep a LensGuard user database, there is nothing for us to delete from a server. On-device data is removed by deleting the app.

Your choices

• Grant or deny Bluetooth, notifications, and other permissions in iOS Settings.
• Edit or clear your Trusted list and history in the app.
• Manage or request a refund for the in-app purchase through Apple.
• Delete the app to remove on-device LensGuard data.
• Email info@akdavisdesigns.com with questions or requests. If we ever held personal data about you, we would honor access and deletion requests. Today we do not hold a LensGuard user database.

Changes

If LensGuard changes (for example a future version adds a permission or a service), we will update this page and the date above. Material changes will also be reflected in the store listing when required.

LensGuard es una app de iOS local-first. AK Davis Designs no crea cuentas, no opera un servidor en la nube para LensGuard y no recopila tu información personal en nuestros servidores.

La detección por Bluetooth se hace en el iPhone mientras la app está abierta y en pantalla. “Keep watching” no es un escaneo con la pantalla apagada. Esta versión no usa permiso de ubicación. El Apple Watch no escanea Bluetooth. El historial, la lista de confianza, las notificaciones y los widgets se quedan en tus dispositivos.

La compra opcional de 1,99 USD es un desbloqueo único procesado por Apple. No recibimos tu número de tarjeta. No vendemos tu información ni la usamos para publicidad.

LensGuard no prueba que alguien esté grabando. El LED de la cámara es la señal de que una cámara está activa. El silencio en LensGuard no significa que estés a salvo.

No está dirigida a niños. No recopilamos información de niños a sabiendas. Borrar la app elimina los datos que están en el dispositivo.
