Overview

AK Davis builds focused software products for construction, property review, preparedness, planning, and related workflows. This Privacy Policy applies to AK Davis websites, apps, subscriptions, and related services that link to it, including AKD Property, C’mon!, Sustenance Planner, ReadyNow / DPapp, and future AK Davis apps that reference this page.

Different apps may handle information differently based on their features. Some products rely mainly on data stored on your device. Others may use cloud services, document processing, synchronization, or purchase systems to deliver the features you request. When a product needs separate disclosures because of a specific feature set, we may publish an additional product-specific notice.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information created while you use the app, and limited information from third-party services needed to operate the product.

• Information you provide. This can include names, email addresses, support requests, notes, tasks, recipes, pantry items, check-ins, preparedness plans, property documents, or other content you choose to enter or upload.
• Files and document content. Apps such as AKD Property and other document-driven products may process files, images, text, or prompts you provide in order to generate summaries, structured outputs, or recommendations.
• Purchase and subscription data. If you buy an upgrade or subscription, we may receive limited transaction details such as product identifiers, entitlement status, country or storefront, and renewal status from Apple or the payment platform handling the purchase.
• Device and diagnostic data. We may receive basic technical information such as app version, device type, crash logs, and performance data to improve reliability and resolve bugs.
• Permission-based data. Some features may request access to items such as notifications, files, contacts, calendars, photos, or location. We only access that information if you grant permission and the feature needs it.

How Information Is Used

We use information to deliver the product you chose to use and to keep the service reliable, secure, and supportable.

• Provide app features, save your work, sync data, and restore access where applicable.
• Generate summaries, organization tools, recommendations, or AI-assisted outputs you request.
• Process purchases, unlock paid features, manage entitlements, and prevent fraud or abuse.
• Respond to customer support, legal requests, and privacy inquiries.
• Monitor crashes, diagnose performance issues, and improve product quality.
• Comply with applicable law, enforce our terms, and protect users, our services, and our business.

AI / Document Processing

Some AK Davis apps use document analysis, summarization, structured extraction, or other AI-assisted processing. For example, AKD Property and similar AK Davis products may analyze documents or user-provided text to organize information, surface risks, or generate clear summaries.

When these features are used, the content you submit may be processed on-device, in AK Davis-managed systems, or through service providers that help us return the requested result. We use that processing to provide the feature, maintain the service, and improve reliability. We do not sell private customer content or use it for advertising profiles.

If a feature depends on an outside provider, we limit sharing to what is reasonably necessary to perform that feature. Users should avoid uploading information they are not authorized to share.

Purchases and Subscriptions

AK Davis apps may be offered as free apps, one-time upgrades, subscriptions, or a mix of these models. Purchases made through Apple platforms are processed by Apple, not by AK Davis directly.

• We do not receive your full payment card number from Apple.
• We may store purchase status, entitlement records, and related transaction metadata so paid features work correctly.
• Subscriptions can usually be managed or canceled through your Apple ID subscription settings.
• Refunds, billing questions, and App Store purchase controls may also be handled through Apple, subject to Apple’s policies.

This section is intended to support current apps such as Sustenance Planner and ReadyNow / DPapp, as well as future AK Davis subscription-based apps that link to this policy.

Data Storage / Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. These measures may include access controls, encrypted connections, secure infrastructure, and limits on who can access customer data.

Data storage varies by product. Some AK Davis apps are designed to keep most or all user content on-device. Other apps may store information in cloud systems when cloud functionality, sync, document processing, collaboration, or purchase validation is part of the product.

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the product, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Third-Party Services

Depending on the app and features you use, AK Davis products may rely on third-party services to operate. These may include:

• Apple services such as the App Store, in-app purchase systems, iCloud, push notifications, or Apple-provided analytics and crash reporting.
• Hosting, storage, email, or infrastructure providers used to run AK Davis websites and app backends.
• AI, document-processing, transcription, or language-model providers used to deliver requested analysis features.
• Mapping, location, or link-out services when an app includes location-based planning or external resource features.

These providers may process information under their own privacy terms when they act as independent services. We encourage users to review the policies of the platforms and services they choose to use.

Your Choices

• You can decide whether to provide optional information and whether to grant app permissions.
• You can contact us to request deletion of account-linked information or exported copies of information we maintain, subject to technical and legal limits.
• You can manage subscriptions and many purchase settings through Apple.
• You can stop using an app, delete local content from your device, or disable notifications at any time through device settings.

Because some AK Davis apps are local-first, deleting the app or its local storage may permanently remove information stored only on your device.

Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or operational improvements. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date on this page and may provide additional notice when appropriate.
